The Boogiedown Festival is one that I have been visiting for years and had almost missed it this year. Thanks to the organisation, I still got to be there again, as they always make sure I am aware. Though I have interviewed Pharoahe Monch before, it was great catching up with my friend as well.
Monch has dropped several albums since the last time we spoke on a professional level, so it was great to discuss his relevance in this industry and the fact that his last album is a lot more personal, giving us a peep into his own world. He talks about how PTSD translates to his personal struggles and lets us know he is working on something different and new.
